The design community has been very successful. It takes a lot of courage to go to a strange land and create new territories. What kind of opportunities have brought you to China?


A: I have been doing costume design for 25 years, and I have had six years of study and work experience in Japan, and I have tried it all.

Compared with China, the Korean market is too small, which makes me feel lack of challenge.

What did a star wear in Korea?

Everyone will follow suit and imitate clothes. This aesthetic orientation of consumers has made me lose creative power. I need to open up a new territory to uplift myself.


When I came to China, I found that the consumption situation in different parts of China was very different. For designers, this is a big challenge, because designers should learn to adapt themselves to different cultures, make corresponding adjustments in design and cater to local consumers. Besides, the market in China is too vast, so long as the market can be completed enough for a certain region, the sales volume has been quite considerable. This huge market potential makes me constantly challenge the enthusiasm of the challenge, which makes me feel excited and gives me unlimited power.

I think the development in China will be a new and promising start in my design career. So six years ago, I made up my mind to start in China.

A: to tell you the truth, I didn't see many beautiful people in China six years ago, but now when you go to the streets for a stroll, you will find that the girls are so dressed up that they really have their own matching ideas.


In addition, from the perspective of clothing design, I think the Chinese fashion designers are waking up now, and they are working hard. China is developing, and Chinese designers are working hard.

In some developed countries, many designers have common faults of self - perception. Design inspiration can not be created by accumulating precipitation alone. When people feel good about themselves, efforts will not be enough. Naturally, they will not actively experience the changes of the times.

The reason why I really like China is that I see that the development of Chinese fashion is changing month by year, and I feel the indirect competitive pressure brought about by the active efforts of Chinese designers.


Q: as a Korean participant in China, why do you think Korean clothing is so popular in China?


A: first of all, from the aesthetic point of view, Korean designers are especially suitable for Chinese women, both in color and in print. Korean designers are very skilled in color. You can see in Korean dramas that the costumes and complexion of those heroines are very harmonious and very comfortable.

In Korea, there are many classifications and gradations of color in senior designers, just like the color in Photoshop.


From the layout of terminal shops, the overall visual effect of Korean clothing stores is very good, which makes people have a strong desire to buy. This is due to VMD (visual designer), South Korea's VDM and China are usually referred to as Chen Li Shi, he is a fashion master, he knows the fabric, craft, collocation, he will make the shop's color and fabric management very well, and has a strong push for sales, not just for display design.

When I was graduating from University, I worked in the design studio, and even helped designers with the work of erasing drawings. Later, I had the opportunity to buy noodle accessories, though it was very hard, but it was also a learning process.

Every successful designer has come up step by step like me.


In South Korea, designers basically have no rest time on weekends. They must pay more efforts than ordinary people.

Designers like our generation have devoted their youth to design, and all their achievements have been fought by hard work, so Korean designers have a long career life.

The classic design needs to have its own foundation for many years, and the effort of the designer will eventually be reflected in his works.


Q: we understand that in the past six years in China, you have been designing for Brand Company, and recently you have created a brand yourself.


A: in my six years in China, I have been learning and creating. During this period, I have been working with Korea Companies, such as helping Basic House design clothing, understanding China through it, and getting to know what Chinese women really like.

A: designers communicate their own world through her design. My favorite style of dress is neutral with sexy and romantic. My preferences are embodied in my works.
