Not long ago, we learned from the relevant information released by the media that the European Union

REACH regulation

The content may increase in the near future, and the authorized material will increase from the original 38 to 49 by the end of the year, which means exporting shoes enterprises.

Exit

The total amount of authorized substances in Europe can not exceed 0.1%.

On the 30 th of this month, the EU's REACH regulations will usher in the first official registration deadline. Meanwhile, chemicals regulations in Japan, the United States, South Korea and China have also been updated.

Against this background, last Friday, the United States

footwear industry

The wholesale and retail association jointly organized the TUV South Deutsche group to hold seminars for footwear enterprises to deal with the requirements of environmental regulations and physical safety in Europe and the United States. Fan Xuehua, manager of chemical testing department of Shenzhen South German Deutsche Group Co., Ltd., on the impact of REACH regulations on footwear enterprises, and how the enterprises should explain the TUV.

In recent years, with the implementation and updating of the EU REACH regulations, the footwear industry in China is a labor-intensive industry. The chemicals involved in the products involve a large amount of risk chemicals, a wide variety of products. In addition, the export enterprises of the European Union do not attach enough importance to foreign standards and regulations, so that the export enterprises are more passive in the face of technical measures. Many enterprises still have some mistaken ideas about the REACH regulations.

According to official statistics from the United States and the European Union, the first quarter of this year, China's export footwear products were recalled by the United States and Europe in 31 batches, representing a sharp increase of 40% compared with the same period last year. Chemical hazards were the main reason for the recall of footwear products, accounting for 82.48% of the total recall.

Most of the two methyl fumarate (DMFu) exceeded the standard, accounting for a higher proportion of chemical recalls due to chemical hazards.

For example, in March 17, 2009, the directive issued by the European Union (2009/251/EC) required that products containing two methyl fumarate (DMFu) should not enter the market.

Germany has recalled that many Chinese shoes, including mountaineering shoes, sandals and baby shoes, have been recalled. The reasons for the recall are chemical hazards. The problem is on suede leather, shoelace, mould inhibitor, and even shoes mould.

Four steps to deal with regulations

First of all, enterprises should do a good job in collecting relevant data and information in advance.

If you want to determine if your product needs to be registered, what needs to be detected, which can be waived, which period of time the registered product is required to register, what data to register and so on, and strengthen communication links with upstream and downstream enterprises.
